The mere fact that they welcomed us thrilled us beyond measure—knowing we could show our participants these wonders, savor the flavors of these places, wander the alleys and watch artisans at work, and immerse ourselves in unique landscapes. All of this made us understand what the essence of our events should be. Getting to know the villages, the dedication and culture of their residents and administrators truly opened our eyes to the world, seeing it from a different perspective, no longer from the perspective of those who want to try, but from the perspective of those who know that, with so much passion, they are making it.
